Arrest of ship transporting more than 70,000 liters of illegal DO oil at sea

VOV.VN - On the morning of October 2, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 announced that the unit had just seized a ship illegally transporting more than 70,000 liters of DO oil in the southwestern sea.

Accordingly, at 1:10 p.m. on September 30, while performing a mission in the Southwest sea, the functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command discovered and inspected the ship KG 95666 TS.

At the time of inspection, there were 4 crew members on board, led by Mr. Pham Hoang Dai, born in 1980, with permanent residence in Vinh Quang ward, Rach city, Kien Giang province, as captain.

According to the captain's initial statement, the ship was transporting more than 70,000 liters of DO oil without invoices or documents proving its legal origin.

The functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command drew up a record and sealed the violating goods. Then, they escorted the vehicle to the port of Squadron 421 in Nam Can town, Ca Mau province for further investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
