There are many dishes that are super delicious or associated with regional identity that Vietnamese people love, but they also criticize.

After being announced, the list of 39 most criticized dishes in Vietnam immediately attracted heated discussions from many Vietnamese people on forums and websites.
Most social media users disagree with this list.
On the Phuot fanpage, an account commented "I don't understand why I can eat all 39 of these dishes, except for the top 1, the rest are all super delicious and high quality".
"I can't stand the boiled chicken", "don't know how to eat it and still judge", "all delicious dishes", "all the national spirit and why criticized", "littlepoor chicken salad, it's delicious", "top 39 best dishes in Vietnam"... are other opinions.

On another forum, a topic written: "39 most criticized Vietnamese dishes, reading the names makes you surprised" caused debate among many people.
Most expressed their dissatisfaction because "it's all specialties", "why are you criticizing only delicious dishes", "it's completely ridiculous"...
However, some people think that this is just an assessment of those who do not really understand Vietnamese culture, it is only for reference, there is no need to argue or make noise.
"If people criticize, that's fine. I think my own food is fine," one person wrote.

Their aim is to "promote great local food, inspire pride in traditional dishes and spark curiosity about foods you've never tried".
