The Vietnamese women's volleyball team lost to the German women's team 0-3 (18-25, 17-25 and 17-25) in the match that took place on the afternoon of August 25, at Saphan Hin Stadium (Phuket, Thailand).
After the match, Thailand's Khaosod newspaper wrote: "Despite losing three consecutive sets to the German team, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played very hard."

“Previously, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had shown excellent performance against the Polish team. In the match against Poland two days ago, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had won a game,” Khaosod added.
The newspaper of the Land of the Golden Pagoda believes that if the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had the best squad, we might have performed differently against the world's 11th-ranked team, Germany.
Khaosod commented: “The Vietnamese women’s volleyball team will participate in this year’s world championship without the main striker Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, nicknamed the speed engine. Bich Tuyen is the star of Vietnamese women’s volleyball.”
“It's a pity that after two matches, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has not scored any points, the reason is because the opponents are too strong,” Khaosod newspaper added.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s leading sports daily Siam Sport commented: “The Vietnamese women’s volleyball team tried their best to change the game against the German team, but the German team was strong. The Vietnamese women’s volleyball team could not withstand this strength.”
“The German team played very aggressively in the match that just took place. The team from Europe played a diverse attack and a solid defense. The German players' smashes were both powerful and sharp.
As for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, they also had a few impressive scoring moves, but the Vietnamese women's volleyball team could not gain control of the game from the German athletes," commented Siam Sport.
In the next match at this year's world championship, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face the Kenyan women's team (ranked 23rd in the world). The match between the Vietnamese and Kenyan women's teams will take place on August 27.
