Thai newspaper: "Vietnam women's volleyball team tried hard but failed"

(Dan Tri) - Thai media commented that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played very hard, despite losing 0-3 to the German women's team. According to the host country's press, the difference in skill between the two teams was too great.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team lost to the German women's team 0-3 (18-25, 17-25 and 17-25) in the match that took place on the afternoon of August 25, at Saphan Hin Stadium (Phuket, Thailand).

After the match, Thailand's Khaosod newspaper wrote: "Despite losing three consecutive sets to the German team, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played very hard."

The newspaper of the Land of the Golden Pagoda believes that if the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had the best squad, we might have performed differently against the world's 11th-ranked team, Germany.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s leading sports daily Siam Sport commented: “The Vietnamese women’s volleyball team tried their best to change the game against the German team, but the German team was strong. The Vietnamese women’s volleyball team could not withstand this strength.”

In the next match at this year's world championship, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face the Kenyan women's team (ranked 23rd in the world). The match between the Vietnamese and Kenyan women's teams will take place on August 27.
