The storm weakened into a tropical depression at 4:00 p.m. on August 30 according to the model of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

At 4 p.m., the center of the tropical depression was located at 18.1 degrees north latitude and 106.1 degrees east longitude, in the Ha Tinh - Northern Quang Tri area. The strongest wind remained at level 6-7, gusting to level 9, continuing to move west at a speed of 20-25 km/hour.

Storm circulation caused heavy rain in many provinces from Nghe An to Da Nang city, many places recorded rainfall of over 300mm.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that in the next 12 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 20km/hour, moving deep into mainland Central Laos and weakening into a low-pressure area, with wind intensity decreasing below level 6.
