After a century of establishment, formation and development, the Vietnamese revolutionary press under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh has always accompanied the Party, the nation and the country, overcome countless difficulties and challenges and made great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Along with the development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, the press types of Long An province have continuously developed and grown in all aspects. From only one newspaper, up to now, the province has many press agencies and press types: Long An Radio and Television Newspaper, Long An Literature and Arts News, Economic - Industrial Magazine, Nguoi Lam Bao Special Edition with all types of press: Spoken newspaper, visual newspaper, printed newspaper and electronic newspaper. In addition, there are also media of the province such as 46 electronic information pages (TTĐT) of state administrative agencies; 5 TTĐT pages of organizations; 13 general TTĐT pages; 5,259 internal websites, specialized and personal applications; 188 fanpages, Facebook, of which 45 fanpages, Facebook belong to Party and State agencies; There is a large team of reporters from central and local press agencies: 2 central press agencies operating in the province (Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper) and 58 reporters and journalists from 48 press agencies outside the province registered to work in the area; every year, about 6,000 news, articles and other press genres are published and communicated on central and local information channels.

Long An is a locality with quite vibrant and diverse press activities, contributing positively to the stability and development of the province. News agencies and newspapers in the area are always closely associated with and accompany Party committees, authorities, and organizations at all levels in informing, propagating, and bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws into life; motivating all levels, sectors, localities, units, and people of all walks of life to compete in labor, production, and business, successfully completing the socio-economic development tasks of the province.

The press agencies have promptly reflected developments in all aspects of social life; actively propagated Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws; reflected the legitimate aspirations and aspirations of all classes of people; discovered and encouraged new factors, advanced models and achievements of the renovation process; reflected the enthusiastic contributions of scientists and compatriots; participated in social supervision and criticism, promoted the people's right to mastery, strengthened the great national unity bloc; taken the lead on the front to protect the Party's ideological foundation , contributed to defeating the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile, reactionary and opportunistic political forces, protected the Party, protected the regime, contributed to consolidating the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the State as well as in the renovation process; resolutely fight against corruption, waste, negativity, law violations, bad habits and vices in society. The press has played the role of an effective "bridge" between the Party, the State and the People in mobilizing and promoting the combined strength of the entire nation, realizing the goal of "rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization".

In addition to professional activities, the province's press agencies also actively participate in social volunteer and charity activities, actively participate in "gratitude" movements. Many families in difficult circumstances in the province receive sharing and encouragement from kind-hearted people through press agencies, from newspaper readers, etc. It is worth noting that every year, the province's press agencies actively participate and win high prizes in the system of provincial, regional and central press awards. This is also a motivation for journalists to strive and better fulfill their political tasks.

In the coming time, the world and regional political and economic situation will continue to have complex developments; our country is entering a new era - an era of development, prosperity, civilization and prosperity of the nation, requiring press agencies to continue to innovate and develop, worthy of revolutionary, professional, humane and modern journalism. To continue to fulfill their mission, press agencies and the team of journalists in the province need to perform well the following key tasks:

Firstly, continue to promote the role of an important information channel playing a pioneering role on the front line of protecting the ideological foundation, propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, especially erroneous information on the Internet and social networks; closely following the Party's guidelines and policies, regularly and continuously propagating major, important and urgent matters that the entire Party and the entire political system are currently focusing on implementing; promptly discovering and encouraging typical examples of collectives, individuals, good people, good deeds, contributing to building, consolidating and cultivating the mettle, intelligence, culture, moral spirit, spirit and belief of all classes of people in Long An.

Second, innovate, improve professionalism, modernity, increase attractiveness, persuasiveness, meet the increasingly high demands of readers, compete more and more with modern media information, contribute to improving the effectiveness of propaganda, promote patriotic emulation movements among the people; at the same time, actively fight against acts of corruption, negativity, waste, degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle among cadres and party members; fight against the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces associated with enhancing political responsibility before the Party, State and People.

Continue to coordinate with all levels, sectors, localities and units in the province to receive, handle and reflect fully and objectively in a constructive, sharing and highly responsible spirit towards issues and matters that people are concerned about, issues arising from the grassroots to coordinate timely, satisfactory and legal solutions, meeting people's aspirations.

Third, the team of journalists in the province needs to continue to strive, constantly study and research to improve their political qualities, professional qualifications and skills, especially in the context of continuous development of science and technology, strictly implement the 10 regulations on professional ethics and the rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists.

Timely rectify and overcome the situation of reflecting information that is not objective, not truthful, and has degraded professional ethics among a part of journalists today; focus on political and ideological education so that journalists and reporters deeply understand that "doing journalism is doing revolution", journalists are pioneers on the Party's ideological front.

Combine political training with improving professional skills to be able to produce creative, multimedia, combative press products that emphasize theory but ensure attractiveness and appeal to readers and viewers. Determined to carry out digital transformation of the press with the goal of building press agencies in a professional, humane, and modern direction. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management to ensure that the press operates in accordance with its principles and purposes, moving towards autonomy in accordance with the conditions of market economic development and international integration.

A century has passed, many generations of cadres, journalists, reporters, and collaborators have together built a revolutionary press in the homeland of Long An "Loyal and steadfast, the whole people fight the enemy". We believe that, with a dynamic and united press agency leadership, a team of cadres, journalists, and reporters with strong political will, professional expertise, and clear professional ethics, along with the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and all classes of people in the province, the province's revolutionary press will increasingly innovate and develop in all aspects, making positive contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland./.
