Bac Giang: Alarm issued on Thuong River and Cau River

BAC GIANG - The Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Bac Giang province has just issued alert number 2 on the Thuong River (at Cau Son Hydrological Station) and alert number 1 on the Cau River (at Cha Hydrological Station).

Accordingly, at 11:00 am today (June 22), at Cau Son Hydrological Station, Huong Son Commune (Lang Giang District), the water level was measured at more than 15m above sea level. The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue issued alert number 2.

The water on the Thuong River is rising.

On the Cau River, the water level measured at the Cha Hydrological Station (right bank of the Cau River, in Pho Yen City, Thai Nguyen Province, corresponding to the left bank of the Cau River in Thu Coc Village, Son Thinh Commune, Hiep Hoa District), the water level is at 8.05m (above alert number 1). The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue issued alert number 1.

The hydrometeorological agency forecasts that floods on rivers will continue to rise, peaking this evening and tonight. To proactively respond to floods and rains, minimizing damage to people and property, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue requests the Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Lang Giang and Hiep Hoa districts; the limited liability companies exploiting irrigation works in Bac Song Thuong and Nam Song Thuong to organize 24/7 duty; regularly update information, and promptly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue.
