On August 30, Mr. Le Quang Hung, director of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health, said that he had sent Dr. Dinh Ha Nam , deputy director of the department, directly to Phu Thien Medical Center and Ayun Pa Medical Center to direct the treatment of patients in the suspected large-scale mass food poisoning case.
According to a report from the Gia Lai Province Food Safety Department, this is a suspected food poisoning case with a large number of people poisoned. To date, 131 patients have been hospitalized for treatment.
Previously, at 11:00 a.m. on August 28, Mr. Ksor Doi's family in Chrôh Ponan, Ia Hiao commune, held a housewarming party with 220 guests attending.
The party dishes were prepared by the homeowner, NTH (50 years old, living in the same commune), including dumplings, spring rolls, grilled meat, spring rolls, beef dipped in bitter melon, honey roasted chicken, double happiness sticky rice, lemongrass and chili stir-fried pork, beef salad, seafood hotpot, fresh noodles, yogurt, beer and soft drinks, and ice.
After returning from the party, at around 6pm the same day, some guests showed symptoms of stomachache, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and fever.
In addition, after the party, some guests brought leftover food home for their families to eat. By 24 hours that same day, these people also showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea.

The patients were taken to Phu Thien Medical Center and Ayun Pa Medical Center for treatment with a diagnosis of food poisoning.
The first patients were admitted to the hospital from 4:25 p.m. on August 29 and continued to be admitted sporadically until 11:50 p.m. on the same day. Phu Thien Medical Center received 58 patients, Ayun Pa Medical Center received 73 patients, a total of 131 patients all with the same symptoms as above.
In the immediate future, the authorities have requested that NTH business household stop providing food services for investigation, verification and handling.
According to Mr. Hung, up to now the patients' condition is basically stable and they are expected to be discharged gradually in the near future.
The Department of Health has also mobilized forces and directed professional work, coordinating with local authorities to handle the case.
