The photo book "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (1925 - 2025)" was compiled and published by the News Publishing House under the direction of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and Vietnam News Agency. The book was honored to receive a congratulatory message from Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in the first part of the book. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Party Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, wrote the introduction for the book.

The book's content is divided into 6 parts: Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the period 1925 - 1945: Propaganda, enlightenment, agitation, gathering, organizing forces to fight for independence and freedom; Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the period 1945 - 1954: Serving the task of resistance and nation building; Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the period 1954 - 1975: Serving the cause of building and defending the socialist North, supporting the South, and unifying the country; Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the period 1975 - 1986: With the task of building and defending the country; Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the period 1986 - 2000: Serving the cause of comprehensive national renewal; Vietnam Revolutionary Press 2001 - 2025: Serving the cause of industrialization and modernization, creating the premise to bring the country into a new era, the era of national growth.
With more than 1,000 precious documentary photos and many general articles, the book vividly recreates the development stages of revolutionary journalism associated with each step of the country's transformation. The materials used for the book were carefully selected from central and local press agencies, museums, libraries, archives and generations of reporters and journalists.

The images and documents in the book help readers systematically review the 100-year development of Vietnam's revolutionary press, from the difficult early days to the present. At the same time, it deeply reflects the connection between the press and the revolutionary cause and is a tribute to generations of journalists who have devoted themselves, created and contributed to the ideals of the Party and the nation, while affirming the vanguard role of the press on the ideological and cultural front.
The book is compiled and published in bilingual form, not only helping readers better understand the history of the country's press, but also vividly introducing to international friends the proud development journey of Vietnam's revolutionary press. |
