Muay Thai 'God of Kicks' knocks out 2 meter tall world champion
Superlek (real name Manachai Yamsiri) is considered one of the best contemporary Muay Thai fighters. The 29-year-old is famous for his kicks, dubbed "god kicks".
One of the most impressive victories in Superlek's career was the match against Nabil Anane in June 2023. The Thai master knocked out his opponent in the first round.
Before the match, Nabil Anane was considered the nemesis of the Thai boxer. The boxer born in 2004 won the WBC world championship belt in 2 weight classes. Nabil Anane is 1m92 tall and has a long stride, enough to effectively neutralize Superlek's kicks.
However, the Thai "kicking god" showed that he is not only good at using his feet. Superlek quickly discovered Nabil Anane's weakness, which is his height. When fighting in close combat, the boxer born in 2004 was vulnerable in the abdomen.
Superlek closed in and knocked out Nabil Anane with a punch. The final kick from the "god of kicks" was only symbolic because Nabil Anane was no longer standing. The young fighter collapsed to the floor and the referee awarded the win to Superlek.
