(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On July 4, the Party Committee of the Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture held its 8th Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending and directing the Congress was comrade Mai Xuan Liem, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Mai Xuan Liem, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and all Party members participated in the Party Congress of Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture.

The Party Committee of Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture currently has 57 party members; of which, there are 53 official party members and 4 probationary party members.

During the 2020-2025 term, under the direct leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the higher-level Party Committees, the Institute's Party Committee has strived to quite comprehensively complete the assigned political tasks. The Party Committee has many innovations and creativity in leadership, direction and organization of task implementation. Notably, all 12 targets have met and exceeded the targets of the Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term.

The Institute has implemented many major plans that are important to the development of the province, such as: Thanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2045 and Thanh Hoa Urban Master Plan, Thanh Hoa Province to 2040. Over 90% of the province's important urban and functional planning projects have been implemented by the Institute.

Party building work is strengthened by the Institute's Party Committee, the spirit of solidarity of the collective of cadres, party members and workers is constantly consolidated and enhanced.

With the motto "Solidarity - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development", in the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of the Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture sets out the direction to continue to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, build a clean and strong Party Committee; Strengthen the application of science and technology to improve the quality of consulting, serving state management, the quality of planning and architectural research, successfully and comprehensively carry out assigned tasks; contribute significantly to building Thanh Hoa province into a new growth pole and by 2030 become a modern industrial province.

The Congress set out the goals for the 2025-2030 period, to build and maintain the Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture as the leading planning and architectural research unit in the country, a reliable partner, and the best support for investors in the province.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee of Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture has achieved in the past term.

He also pointed out a number of dangers and limitations and suggested that the Congress focus on discussing, clearly identifying the causes, drawing lessons, and negating solutions to overcome them in the new term.

Affirming that planning must be one step ahead, creating a foundation for infrastructure development, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem requested the Thanh Hoa Institute of Planning and Architecture to increase the application of scientific and technological advances and digital transformation to improve planning capacity and the quality of planning projects. Build a team of experts with professional capacity to perform well the task of advising and consulting the Provincial People's Committee in planning and architecture work.

Currently, when the two-level local government has come into operation, the Institute must do a good job of supporting commune-level units in planning and architecture work to ensure it is suitable for the socio-economic development situation and the trend of green development and climate change.

Along with that, the Party Committee of the Institute continues to innovate Party building work, improve the quality of Party cell activities, educate Party members on ideology, ethics, and ideals; strictly implement the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism in the activities and activities of Party committees; build a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects, contributing to the comprehensive development of the province.
