That is the information shared in the discussion "Financial policy for green logistics development" organized by the Economic - Finance Magazine in collaboration with Vinexad recently in Ho Chi Minh City.
As the second largest indirect emitter of greenhouse gases after industry, most Vietnamese logistics businesses are still at the "starting line" in the greening race. In fact, only about 5% of businesses have implemented emission reduction solutions, but most of them are still at the initial stage.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Director of Hung Thinh Phat Company Limited said that small and medium enterprises do not have green financial resources to invest in green transformation, secondly, the transformation roadmap is not clear to encourage businesses.
According to experts, Vietnam needs to urgently complete green logistics standards, have policies to support interest rates and green credit, and at the same time create a level "playing field" to promote business transformation.
According to Dr. Do Thien Anh Tuan - Lecturer at Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, in the logistics industry, 95-97% are small and medium enterprises, and these enterprises find it very difficult to access financial resources for green transformation, so I think these enterprises need support from the state, budget, public investment funds and policy mechanisms.
Vietnam needs to urgently complete green logistics standards, have policies to support interest rates and green credit, and at the same time create a level "playing field" to promote business transformation.
Experts also emphasized that the state needs to soon integrate tax incentives and subsidies for green transformation enterprises, and include charging stations, green warehouses, and smart logistics in public investment planning. And above all, "There can be no green development without green capital", to have that capital, it requires the cooperation of the entire system, from management agencies, banks, to fiscal and monetary policies to support green transformation clearly, transparently, and measurably.
