The Organizing Committee of the "Vietnam I Am" - My Vietnam 2025 Run informed that as of 00:10 on August 17, the race had attracted nearly 19,000 professional and amateur athletes from home and abroad to participate (it is expected that by August 22, the number will exceed 20,000 athletes).
Thereby, the Tournament set a Vietnamese Record for the largest number of people wearing the Red Flag with Yellow Star in a marathon ever.
The Organizing Committee has completed the documents to send to the Vietnam Record Organization to confirm this record. Participants will also receive a Certificate of participation in establishing the Vietnam Record.
The “Vietnam I Am” - My Vietnam 2025 race will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, Vinhomes Global Gate, Hanoi on August 24. This event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The race aims to promote the Vietnam Exhibition Center, one of the 10 largest exhibition centers in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia, domestically and internationally; as well as introduce the land with a rich cultural and historical tradition, famous for the 9-spiral citadel over 2,000 years old. Coming to Co Loa citadel means coming to the legendary stories of the Crossbow, An Duong Vuong, My Chau, Trong Thuy.
Not only that, this place also leaves an impression on visitors with its unique architectural works, which have been preserved and conserved to this day.
Not only a challenge of endurance and will of each athlete, "That's My Vietnam" is also a meaningful journey, together reviewing the 80-year journey of building and developing the country.
Each step is a deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and grandfathers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people; demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and aspiration for development of the Vietnamese people in the new era.
On August 22 and 23, the Organizing Committee will distribute race kits (running shirts and Bib numbers for athletes); organize activities to respond to the tournament, and display medical and sports products serving the tournament.
On the official running day (August 24), athletes will compete in 4 distances: 42km, 21km, 9.2km and 2.9km.
The Organizing Committee will also conduct the Opening, Closing and Awarding Ceremonies. The starting and finishing points will be at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Vinhomes Global Gate, Dong Anh, Hanoi)./.
