The 2026 World Cup will officially kick off on June 11, 2026 in three North American countries. Currently, regional qualifiers are still taking place to determine the best teams to participate in the 2026 World Cup.
After the third qualifying round of the Asian region took place last night and early this morning, the Organizing Committee has determined 3 more teams to officially win tickets to attend the biggest football festival in the world .
Accordingly, the Korean National Team and the Jordan National Team are the two representatives in Group B to win tickets to the 2026 World Cup. Both teams won against potential opponents who are capable of competing for positions, the Iraqi National Team and the Oman National Team. Notably, this is the first time in history that the Jordan National Team has a ticket to participate in the biggest football festival on the planet.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan is the next representative in Group A to win a ticket after a goalless draw against UAE.
At the 2026 World Cup, Asia will be awarded a total of 8.5 places (8 direct places and 1 play-off place). Currently, Asia has 5 teams that have won tickets to North America: Japan, Iran, South Korea, Jordan and Uzbekistan. The remaining 3.5 places will be determined in the final round and the 4th qualifying round.
Thus, up to now, the Organizing Committee has identified 10 excellent teams with tickets to attend the 2026 World Cup Finals: the US, Canada, Mexico (host); Japan, South Korea, Iran, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Argentina and New Zealand.
