According to the report of Trieu Trach Commune People's Committee, in the winter and winter-spring crop of 2024, the whole commune planted about 12 hectares of nem, and many areas have been prepared for harvest. However, due to heavy rain in recent days, 12 hectares of nem were flooded, concentrated in the sandy area of Long Quang village, of which about 7 hectares were severely flooded and completely damaged, the remaining area was affected by about 30% - 40% of productivity and quality.

Mr. Tran Dong, Vice Chairman of Trieu Trach Commune People's Committee, said that in 2023, the commune's 12 hectares of rice will yield about 140 tons, with a selling price of 25,000 VND/kg, earning about 3.5 billion VND. Currently, the rainfall has decreased, the commune mobilized people to go to the rice fields to clear the flow to drain water, fertilize, and take care of the rice fields that have not been completely damaged to limit damage.
