Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 107/QD-UBND dated January 10, 2025 approving the receipt of aid to implement the project "Enhancing the sustainable beekeeping value chain to increase income for ethnic minorities in Thuong Xuan district" sponsored by World Vision International (WVI) USA - Representative Office in Vietnam.
With a total non-refundable aid capital of 64,000 USD, equivalent to more than 1.54 billion VND, the project is implemented including: phase 1 until April 25, 2026; phase 2 until the end of the project cycle on September 30, 2026. The project implementation location is in Thuong Xuan town and the communes: Luong Son, Tho Thanh, Xuan Cao, Luan Thanh and Luan Khe (Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province).

The project aims at two outcomes, including: improving local farmers’ knowledge, capacity and practices in natural resource management to produce honey and related products that meet USDA and JAS standards; Developing and strengthening the honey production value chain to increase local farmers’ income.
Also through this project aims to improve people's well-being by supporting local beekeeping value chains to increase income and resilience through collaboration with social enterprises in developing and implementing climate-resilient beekeeping value chains.
