This is the 8th consecutive time Vietnam has been honored at this award.

The country's mountainous terrain, long coastline, and beautiful scenery are advantages for Vietnam to develop modern, world- class golf courses.

To achieve this title, Vietnam has surpassed other leading candidates such as: Japan, China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand. Also at the award ceremony, the capital Hanoi was honored as "The best golf city destination in the world in 2024". The awards are the result of a year-long search for the world's favorite golf tourism brands. The vote was conducted by golf experts, the media and the public. The winner is the candidate with the most votes in a category. Vietnam is considered an ideal golf destination in the Asian region with beautiful natural scenery, a tropical climate that is very favorable for investing in golf course development and golf tourism. According to preliminary statistics, Vietnam has about 100 18-hole golf courses and driving ranges in operation, many of which meet international standards. Developing infrastructure and building golf tourism products is one of the key orientations in the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister. Up to now, Vietnam has been voted the Best Golf Destination in Asia 8 times and won the Best Golf Destination in the World award twice. This affirms the brand, attractiveness and position of Vietnam on the world golf tourism map. Vietnam currently has about 100 golf courses, the goal is to have about 200 golf courses serving golfers and tourists by 2025.
