As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , Ninh Binh Provincial Police arrested Le Van Hai (30 years old, in Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh), owner of the channel "Gia Dinh Hai Sen", to investigate the crime of "trading in fake food products".
Hai Sen family earns tens of billions from selling "delicious syrup"
According to the investigation agency, from 2024 to present, Hai and a number of individuals have sold more than 800,000 products, of which the "Hai Be delicious syrup" product alone has sold over 100,000 boxes of products.
However, the results of the appraisal of the quality indicators of "Hai Be delicious syrup", the authorities discovered that the substances including vitamin A, calcium, vitamin C (the main substances that create the product's effects) only reached less than 70% compared to the announcement, according to regulations, this product is fake.
With retail prices ranging from 160,000 to 200,000 VND per "appetizing syrup" product, estimated revenue could reach about 16 - 20 billion VND.
This is also one of the products that Le Van Hai has run the most advertising videos on social networking platforms and e-commerce platforms like Shopee.
Immediately after Hai was prosecuted along with Tran Dai Phuc, director of Hai Be Company Limited - the unit that announced and was responsible for the product, public opinion continued to question the role of the production unit.

Right before being arrested, Le Van Hai posted a video filmed at the factory producing "Hai Be delicious syrup" to reassure public opinion amid a wave of skepticism from users.
"I'm sure you're new to our products. Don't worry, before a product is released to the market, it has been meticulously researched by experts and its origin has been certified before it can be circulated, not like you think I'll make it just because I like it," Le Van Hai affirmed in the video.
According to the information on the product declaration registration receipt issued by the competent authority, attached by Le Van Hai when introducing the product, the manufacturing unit is Bigfa Joint Stock Company, located at Luong Son Industrial Park, Km36 - National Highway 6, Hoa Son Commune, Luong Son District, Hoa Binh Province.
About the company producing "Hai Be delicious syrup"
Bigfa Joint Stock Company was established in December 2018 with the main registered business line being food production such as nutritional foods, milk, and functional foods.
When it was first established, Bigfa had a charter capital of 40 billion VND.
Bigfa's shareholder structure includes: OneBigDream Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company contributes 30%, the rest comes from individuals such as: Mr. Le Van Trung 25%, Mr. Pham Van Quang 15%, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang contributes 17.5%, Ms. Vu Thi Thu Hang with 12.5%.
After several years of operation, Bigfa has increased its charter capital many times. One time, it increased to 60 billion VND in 2019, then increased to 110 billion VND in April 2020 and reached 170 billion VND at the end of 2020.
Initially, the legal representative and general director was Ms. Vu Thi Hang (born in 1993). Currently, the representative and general director of this company is Ms. Phung Thi Ngan (born in 1992).
Currently, Bigfa's website is inaccessible due to the reason of "upgrade maintenance". Previously, on the website, this company introduced itself as owning a factory producing health protection foods and safe, reputable cosmetics, leading in Vietnam.
With a capital of nearly 300 billion VND, Bigfa said it has successfully built a factory that meets GMP - CGMP standards on an area of 11,800m2 . Of which, the health food factory is 3,800m2 and the cosmetics factory is 1,800m2 .
