In particular, the benchmark scores for female candidates of all schools are very high, 28 - 29 points. There are some schools where female candidates must achieve 30 points to pass, such as female candidates in the North majoring in medicine at the Military Medical Academy; female candidates majoring in international relations at the Military Science Academy.
Here are the benchmark scores of 17 military schools:
This year, there are 19 military schools nationwide participating in the regular military college and university entrance exam. Of these, 17 schools provide university training and 2 colleges (but 3 colleges are offered by 1 school that enrolls students at both levels).
Military schools enroll 4,383 students for military university and college training, of which some facilities allocate training quotas abroad and training quotas at non-military universities.
According to regulations, candidates applying for admission to military universities and colleges must pass a preliminary selection. Young people outside the military must pass a preliminary selection at the military recruitment board at the district, town, or provincial city level; active military personnel must pass a preliminary selection at the military recruitment board at the regimental level and equivalent.
All military schools only consider candidates with their first choice when considering university admission.
