These days, the weather is favorable for construction projects. However, due to the medium and low voltage power lines, nearly 1km of the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 8C through Cam Xuyen commune has to wait for land.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Site Commander of Joint Stock Company 484 said: "Currently, the construction unit is stuck with 23 electric poles that have not been relocated. Most of these poles are within the construction area and on the asphalt concrete surface, so the contractor is having difficulty mobilizing maximum means and construction machinery."
The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 8C from Cam Xuyen Commune to Thien Cam Commune, with a length of 11km, is now more than 70% complete. According to the plan, the project must be completed before October 16. However, the delay in relocating and burying the power line system has significantly affected the overall progress of the project.
Mr. Tran Vu Hai - Manager of the consulting and supervision team, Consulting Joint Stock Company 6 said: "This is the time when many machines are needed to work simultaneously to complete the final stages of the project. However, many construction items have to be temporarily stopped due to the electric poles located right in the construction area".

It is known that the relocation of the power line system belongs to another project invested by the People's Committee of the former Cam Xuyen district. However, after the administrative unit arrangement, this work was stopped. Currently, on the route, items such as: cable trench system, distribution cabinet, transformer station have been constructed but the connection, undergrounding and relocation of power lines have not been implemented.
Mr. Luong Tien Thanh, technical officer of the Ha Tinh Traffic Construction and Urban Development Project Management Board, said: "The investor is coordinating with units and localities to synchronously deploy solutions to remove obstacles, striving to complete the relocation in August, creating conditions for the contractor to speed up construction, ensuring the handover of the project in October 2025."

“Cam Xuyen Commune is coordinating with investors and construction units to focus on solutions to bury power lines and connect them to people's houses. At the same time, coordinating with the electricity sector to deploy meter installation to soon hand over the site to construction units to speed up the progress of the project,” added Mr. Phan Thanh Nghi - Vice Chairman of Cam Xuyen Commune People's Committee.
The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 8C from Thien Cam commune to National Highway 1 and the intersection of National Highway 8A in Tu My commune to the intersection of Ho Chi Minh road in Huong Son commune has a total length of 27.7km, with a total investment of nearly 1,100 billion VND. According to the Ha Tinh Traffic Construction and Urban Development Investment Project Management Board (project investor), the project is striving to complete in October 2025. Accelerating the construction of National Highway 8C project not only contributes to ensuring the progress of disbursement of public investment capital, but after upgrading, the route will contribute to promoting socio-economic development.
