With a stable political system, Vietnam is doing everything to achieve the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045. That is the opinion of journalist Clement Ngu (Nikkei Asia), when interviewed by VNA reporters on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Citing the above statement, journalist Clement Ngu highlighted Vietnam's success in the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, its determined efforts to lift the country out of poverty after the war, as well as its successes in the international arena today.

From a food importer, Vietnam has become a major agricultural exporter. In foreign affairs, Vietnam is an active member of the international community, always open to cooperation and plays an active role in the international peace process. These achievements show that Vietnam asserts itself in the era of competition between great powers, turning this competition into benefits for the country.

Sharing with Nhan Dan Newspaper reporters based in France, French historian Alain Ruscio said that September 2, 1945 is considered a brilliant milestone for the Vietnamese people and is known to the whole world because this nation paved the way for the decolonization struggle. For the first time, the Vietnamese people have the right to be proud to become citizens of a free and independent country.

Mr. Eric Lafon, Director of the Living History Museum in Montreuil city, where the Ho Chi Minh Space stores documents, images and artifacts about his life and revolutionary career, said that not only Vietnamese people but also many French and international friends admire President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to fighting for the independence and freedom of Vietnam as well as for the precious values of humanity.

In an interview with Nhan Dan Newspaper's correspondent in Thailand, Mr. Nguyen Van Xuyen, Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nakhon Phanom Province, said that every August and early September, overseas Vietnamese in northeastern Thailand visit the Memorial Site and tell each other memories of the August Revolution in 1945. Mr. Nguyen Van Xuyen affirmed that overseas Vietnamese in Thailand always have firm faith in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
