Vietnam wins World's Best Rice Award 2023

Surpassing 30 rice samples from 10 participating countries, ST25 rice branded Ong Cua Rice of Vietnam officially won the World's Best Rice Award in 2023.

On November 30, at the Global Rice Trade Conference held in the Philippines, Vietnam won the World's Best Rice Award in 2023.

According to The Rice Trader Organization - Founder and owner of the "World's Best Rice" contest, this year's contest had the participation of more than 10 countries and 30 rice samples were submitted. The contest results showed that Vietnam won first prize, Cambodia second prize and India third prize.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Cuong, Director of the Department of Crop Production (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) said that this year's competition, the Organizing Committee only has national prizes and no prizes for individual enterprises. This time, Vietnam has 3 enterprises participating with 6 types of rice. Of which, the private enterprise TM-DV Ho Quang Tri with ST24 and ST25 rice, Loc Troi Group with LT28 and Nang Hoa 9 rice, Thai Binh Seeds Group with TBR39 and TBR39-1 rice.

Previously, in 2019, also in the Philippines, ST25 rice also won first prize at the World's Best Rice contest.
