Dong Nai trains to implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in the new situation

(DN) - On the morning of August 6, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province held a training conference to deploy the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in the province in the new situation.

The training program aims to equip and supplement knowledge and professional skills for managers and officers in charge of the OCOP Program at the provincial and communal levels to support and guide entities in the province to complete registration documents to participate in OCOP product evaluation in the new situation.

In particular, the program focuses on raising awareness of the OCOP program, OCOP products, OCOP subjects, providing knowledge about the OCOP criteria set, OCOP star rating, product stories, product quality declaration records, product evaluation process... From there, the staff at the commune and ward levels are equipped with knowledge to support OCOP subjects in making effective records, reviewing potential products, promoting and recording, and monitoring OCOP products in the commune.

To date, Dong Nai province has 481 OCOP products. Of these, 11 products have achieved 5 stars, 109 products have achieved 4 stars and 361 products have achieved 3 stars. The program has mobilized the participation of 304 entities, of which nearly 60% are enterprises and cooperatives. Compared to the beginning of 2020, the number of OCOP products has increased sharply, an average of about 50%/year.
