Vietnam surprisingly becomes the most watched team at the Women's Volleyball World Championship

After just 1 day, Vietnam surpassed host Thailand to become the team with the most viewers on the Volleyball World channel.

But then, after only about 1 day, the highlights video (notable situations) of the Vietnam - Poland match (Poland won 3-1) surpassed 400,000 views.

This number is even higher than the opening match of host Thailand - against Egypt on August 22. As of the afternoon of August 24, the video of Thailand's opening match had 356,000 views, 50,000 views less than Vietnam's opening match.

These statistics are based on the Youtube channel of Volleyball World - belonging to VBTV, the unit that owns the television copyright of the tournament, and is also the main partner of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Volleyball World is a famous Youtube channel that specializes in live broadcasting of the world's top volleyball tournaments. For example, at the Women's U21 Volleyball World Championship that took place in early August, Volleyball World broadcasted every match live.

Also at the U21 World Cup, Vietnam showed its dominance in viewership. Typically, the 17-20 qualifying match between Vietnam and Chile attracted 1 million viewers, 4 times higher than the quarter-final match between Türkiye and Japan.

Not only this match, almost all matches of the Vietnam U21 team in the tournament have over 1 million views. The peak was the match where Vietnam shocked Serbia - attracting 1.2 million views.

Vietnam is the most watched team in the Women's U21 Volleyball World Championship, completely overwhelming all other teams.
