[Video] Establishment of the Vietnam Association of Social Workers in the Health Sector

On August 25, in Hanoi, the first Congress to establish the Vietnam Association of Social Workers in the Health Sector for the 2025-2030 term was successfully held with the participation of leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health, many representatives from the Departments and Divisions under the Ministry and about 300 delegates who are members of the Association.

The Vietnam Association of Social Workers in the Health Sector is a social-professional organization operating under the Charter approved by the Minister of Home Affairs. The main objective of the Association is to develop the profession of social work in the health sector, improve the quality of medical examination, treatment and health care for the people, contributing to the socio -economic development of the country.

The Congress approved the Association's Charter and the direction of activities during the term, and elected the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and Secretariat of the Association. Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Tuan Hung, former Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel ( Ministry of Health ), was elected as the Association's President.

The establishment of the Vietnam Association of Social Workers in the health sector is not only an important milestone in the development of social work in the health sector but also a place to connect medical staff and experts, contributing to improving the quality of health care for the people.
