Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Vice President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, said that the contest is an annual cultural and artistic event, aiming to promote and educate the love of homeland, country and the desire for peace for Vietnamese and international children living and studying in Hanoi. Through paintings, children are encouraged to express their attachment to the culture, history and beautiful landscapes of Hanoi; express their love for people, dream of a world without war, poverty, disease - a world of stable development, peace and humanity...

Through each season, the competition has left many good impressions, being a place to discover and nurture many young painting talents, helping them nurture their passion and develop their creative artistic thinking. The competition has become a bridge connecting friendship, enhancing cultural exchange between Vietnamese children and international children, arousing the sense of responsibility of the young generation in preserving peace, protecting the living environment and building a humane, progressive society for the common future of humanity.

According to the Organizing Committee, the new point of this year's contest is that it will not be held directly within a limited time, but will allow contestants to draw at home and send their works by post. This format creates conditions for contestants to have more time to create, care for their works and boldly express their ideas on more complex materials such as oil paint, gouache, watercolor... Thereby, the quality of the paintings is expected to be richer, more vivid and more artistically profound.

Contestants are children aged 6-15, Vietnamese or foreign, currently living and studying in Hanoi. Each child can submit up to 3 hand-drawn paintings on A3 white paper, using materials of their choice such as watercolor, wax, gouache, oil paint, felt-tip pen, colored pencils, etc. The works must have a short, concise title and must not have participated in any previous contest or been published in newspapers or social networks.

The judges will score based on the following criteria: adherence to the theme, clear message, inspiration, harmonious layout, impressive colors and creativity.

The award structure includes: 01 First prize, 10 Second prizes, 20 Third prizes, 30 Consolation prizes, 10 Special Consolation prizes and 20 secondary prizes.

The time for receiving entries is from August 15 to September 10, 2025. The closing and award ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 20, 2025. The winning works will be displayed at the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library from September 22 to October 10, 2025.
