The film is directed by Omung Kumar Bhandula - a famous director, film producer and TV host in India. The work will be set in many famous destinations in Quang Tri, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Da Nang ...
In Quang Tri province, besides Son Doong - the world's largest natural cave, many other destinations in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and Tan Hoa area will also have the opportunity to conquer millions of viewers through beautiful film footage.
The film brings together a famous cast of Indian actors, with actress Sadia Khateeb and actor Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles. The film production crew is expected to go to Quang Tri to film for 3 weeks.
According to Oxalis General Director Nguyen Chau A, representative of the Son Doong Cave exploration tour operator, the production team of "Silaa" has signed a contract with this company to film many segments in the cave for the film. The production crew has 100 people, but only 12 will enter Son Doong Cave to film the scenes, the rest will film in Tien Cave, Tu Lan Cave and Chuot Cave (in Tan Hoa area).
This is the first time an Indian film has chosen Vietnam as the main setting, with about 95% of the duration. According to the plan, "Silaa" will be released in 2026, aiming for a wide global release.
Previously, at the Asian Film Festival that lasted from late June to early July in Da Nang city, the film "Love in Vietnam" was released, marking the first collaboration between Vietnamese and Indian cinema.
“Love in Vietnam” revolves around the story of an Indian man who comes to the S-shaped land and falls in love with a Vietnamese girl. He also gets to explore many regions with interesting and unexpected situations. The film is directed and written by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and produced by Captain Rahul Bali.
Assessing the initial "sweet fruit" of the film "Love in Vietnam", at a meeting with the CEO of Innovations India Company and film producer Rahul Bali on July 15, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh said that this cooperation is an opportunity to widely promote the Vietnamese tourism brand.
"This will be a good opportunity to widely spread the beauty and tourism brand of Vietnam to Indian friends in particular and to the international community in general through cinema. Especially in the context that Vietnam is promoting tourism promotion activities in India," said Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh.
Following “Love in Vietnam”, the film “Silaa” is expected to attract a lot of attention from Bollywood audiences, as well as those who love the wild and majestic beauty of Vietnam's landscapes.
