Specifically, Ri6 durian is currently sold at the garden for only 30-32 thousand VND/kg, only half the price compared to the previous month. Dona durian is priced from 60-65 thousand VND, down 30 thousand VND/kg compared to the previous month. This price is 25-30 thousand VND/kg lower than the peak harvest time of the same period last year.

Durian prices have dropped sharply, but traders are still not as keen on buying as they were in previous years. Many traders have put down deposits on farmers' gardens, and durians are still stuck in the gardens waiting for the export market to improve.
Durian exporting enterprises are also facing difficulties such as: increased costs, long customs clearance time, risk of returned goods...
According to data from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, durian export turnover in the first 4 months of 2025 reached 183 million USD, down 60.9% compared to the same period last year. Durian export turnover to the Chinese market alone decreased by 75.5%, reaching only 105.7 million USD.
