During the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (August 30 - September 2, 2025), the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) operated the national power system to ensure safe, stable and continuous power supply for political , cultural and daily activities of people across the country.
According to the annual rule, the September 2nd holiday is usually the period when the national electricity consumption drops to the lowest level of the year, the load during the holidays only reaches about 70 - 80% compared to normal working days.
This year, the holiday lasts for 4 consecutive days (August 30 - September 2, 2025), so electricity consumption remains low throughout the entire period. However, immediately after the holiday ends, the load on the power system tends to increase rapidly again.
Identifying that ensuring electricity supply for the National Day is a particularly important political task, NSMO has proactively developed and synchronously deployed many solutions.
The company established detailed operating methods, prepared sufficient human resources and equipment, and increased the number of on-duty engineers and command leaders at both the main and backup control centers. Control room conversion and incident handling drills were also held to ensure the system operated safely and reliably in all situations.
As a result, NSMO closely coordinated with relevant units to ensure safe, stable and continuous power supply, successfully serving political, cultural and daily activities of people nationwide during the National Day holiday on September 2.
