
According to a quick report from the Hai Phong City Department of Health, as of 6 a.m. on July 22, the 115 Emergency Center made 11 trips to transport 15 people and patients from 5 communes and wards to prevent storms; and transported 1 patient who fell due to storm prevention to Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital.
The Rehabilitation Hospital received and supported 2 elderly residents of the Pumping Plant housing complex in Thanh Dong Ward who had been paralyzed for many years and needed medical care. At medical facilities, 16 patients with moderate and mild symptoms caused by the storm were received and treated.
Hai Phong Department of Health has requested hospitals, medical centers and units in the industry to be on duty 24/7, monitor the storm situation, prepare adequate human resources for emergency care, nursing, logistics and patient transport when necessary.
Stock up on essential medicines, medical supplies, medical oxygen, disinfectants, and clean water. Prepare a post-storm epidemic prevention plan. Check and reinforce areas at risk of being affected, such as metal roofs, glass doors, power lines, generators, etc. Ensure backup power and water systems, especially for emergency and inpatient treatment areas.
Continue to provide emergency transportation, support local authorities and people when they need assistance in storm evacuation or to medical facilities. Ensure medical examination and treatment for patients at medical facilities.
