Compared to the list of athletes gathered to prepare for the 2026 Asian Women's Qualifiers last month, head coach Mai Duc Chung has made some adjustments this time. In addition to keeping the same list of athletes participating in the 2026 Asian Women's Qualifiers, defender Tran Thi Hai Linh ( Hanoi ), midfielder Tran Thi Thu Xuan and center back Le Thi Bao Tram (Than KSVN) continue to be called back out of a total of 28 athletes to gather.
In the coaching staff, head coach Mai Duc Chung continues to have important support from fitness coach Brandi Jose Regato Neto, along with experienced assistants Doan Minh Hai, Doan Thi Kim Chi, Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh and doctors.
According to the plan, the team members will check in and settle down at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center on the morning of July 13, and will have their first practice session on the field in the afternoon of the same day.
The national women's team will stay here for a week before moving to Quang Ninh for a 10-day training session. It is expected that on July 30, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will arrive in Hai Phong to complete the final preparations before participating in the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, which will take place from August 6 to August 19.
As the host of Group A, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will meet opponents Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand on August 6, 9 and 12 at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong). After winning tickets to the 2026 Asian Women's Finals, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team continue to aim to compete for the top spot in this year's Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship.
