Giant Buddha statue gradually completed in the middle of a quarry in Da Nang

The Da Son Spiritual Cultural Area project has been approved by the Da Nang City People's Committee for a detailed master plan of 1/500, including the statue of Buddha.

This is a unique project not only in Da Nang but also in the Central Highlands region as the statue is carved from a monolithic stone of the mountain. The project was planned by the Da Nang People's Committee for detailed site clearance at a scale of 1/500 and the Department of Construction granted a construction permit based on the consensus of the Department of Culture, Sports and Religious Affairs as well as the Da Nang Military Command.
