Singer Phuong Nga - top 4 Sao Mai folk genre 2022 - owner of the hit song Quang Binh my hometown with more than 70 million views - has just marked her return with a new emotional MV called Where my childhood comes back .

Singer Phuong Nga.
During the MV launch, she couldn't hold back her tears when talking about her difficult childhood and her persistent journey of pursuing music without relying on anyone but herself.
“I was born into a poor farming family. My childhood was spent harvesting rice, catching crabs and snails to help my parents. My family had to save every penny so that I could have the opportunity to study and pursue music in Hanoi . Those were difficult but very beautiful years,” Phuong Nga said with a choked voice.
As a former student of the Central University of Art Education, who worked at the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater, Phuong Nga is no stranger to the stage. She was in the Top 10 of the Hanoi Voice Contest in 2017, making an impression with the song Quang Binh, my hometown - a soulful folk song, performed with a rustic, emotional voice, imbued with love for her homeland and attracting more than 70 million views on YouTube.
Behind that success is not a "huge" crew or big investors, but the resilience and faith of the silent artist.

Phuong Nga cried when remembering her family's hard-working childhood.
Not hiding the difficulties behind her debut product, the female singer said that she paid for all the production costs of the MV " Where Childhood Comes Back" herself. " Without any big backers, I became my own big boss," she said frankly.
According to Phuong Nga, she does not expect the MV to become an “internet phenomenon” or create a media explosion. Instead, she just wants her first music product in this comeback journey to quietly reach the hearts of listeners, with sincerity in every frame, every note and distilled emotion.
Where my childhood comes back is composed by musician Vu Ngoc Dam, directed by Duong Lan Huong. The MV is performed in a contemporary folk style, simple but sophisticated, gentle but profound, telling the story of homeland, parents, and childhood memories.
Phuong Nga wants to send her gratitude to her hard-working mother through the MV "Where my childhood comes back".
After a period of time behind the scenes to take care of her family and become a mother, Phuong Nga shared that only when she had children did she truly understand the love her mother had for her. “My mother still takes care of her grandchildren every day so that I can sing and work. My mother loves me very much, but it was not until I had a little angel that I truly understood that love.”
Therefore, the MV is not only a tribute to the hard-working mother, but also a way for the female singer to send a message to all those who are mothers and children - a gentle reminder of family love, of values that time can wash away but emotions will remain forever.
“I believe music can connect hearts that grew up from simple things. Although each person has their own situation, the feeling of mother and hometown is something everyone has experienced, ” Phuong Nga said.
