Jornal de Angola, the national news agency ANGOP, and radio and television channels such as Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA) and Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) simultaneously reported on this event, emphasizing the historical significance of the visit in the context of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Angola diplomatic relations (November 12, 1975 - November 12, 2025), while praising the potential for bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and cultural exchange.
Jornal de Angola, Angola's largest newspaper and the government 's mouthpiece, reported in detail on President Luong Cuong's visit.
The newspaper described the official welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Luanda on August 7, with a solemn ceremony for the head of state, including a 21-gun salute.
The articles stressed that the visit was a historic milestone, marking 50 years of diplomatic relations and 50 years of Angola's independence.

According to the newspaper, Ho Chi Minh Avenue in Luanda, where the headquarters of the People's Liberation Movement of Angola (MPLA) party is located, is a symbol of the long-standing solidarity between the two peoples.
Meanwhile, state news agency ANGOP also published a detailed article about the visit, highlighting Angola's role as Chair of the African Union (AU) in 2025 and President Luong Cuong's appreciation of Angola's initiatives in promoting regional peace and security.
The articles covered talks, signing agreements and highlighted the potential for cooperation in areas such as agriculture, oil and gas, telecommunications and digital transformation.
The August 8 article quoted President Luong Cuong praising Angola's leadership role in the AU and calling for support for Vietnam to expand cooperation with the AU.
ANGOP also reported on the joint press conference between the two leaders, at which President João Lourenço expressed pride in the historic relationship with Vietnam.

Voz de Angola news site also reported on the visit, praising the role of the Vietnamese community in Angola in areas such as construction, trade, education and health; and emphasizing the event where President Luong Cuong laid a wreath at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the grounds of the Vietnamese Embassy.
Voz de Angola described the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in Luanda, attended by some 400 representatives from the two countries, as a symbol of cultural and historical ties.
An article on this page stated: "The visit of the President of Vietnam not only strengthens political relations but also tightens the friendship between the two peoples with the presence of the Vietnamese community in Angola."
The Ver Angola news site, on the other hand, has articles focusing on the economic and social aspects of the visit. Articles on Ver Angola highlight the potential for cooperation in areas such as agriculture (especially rice and fruit growing techniques), telecommunications and renewable energy.
The site also mentions the Vietnamese community in Angola, numbering about 6,000-10,000 people, as an important factor in promoting cultural and economic exchange.
Angolan Foreign Minister Tete Antonio was quoted by the Angolan newspaper at the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Angola diplomatic relations: "Angola appreciates Vietnam's support in the history of the struggle for independence and wishes to learn from Vietnam's economic development experience to diversify the national economy."
State radio and television channels such as Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA) and Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) also reported on the visit.
RNA particularly emphasized the significance of the visit in enhancing Angola's role as the rotating Chair of the AU in 2025, while praising Vietnam as a strategic partner in promoting South-South cooperation.
RNA aired interviews with Angolan officials, highlighting the potential for cooperation in areas such as agriculture and education, with calls for increased student and professional exchanges between the two countries.
Articles and news reports in Angolan media all showed the warm welcome of the Vietnamese President by Angola, while affirming the role of the visit in strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing Vietnam's presence in Africa through the AU.
