Comrade Nguyen Tien Hieu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and the province's industrial parks, and the working delegation inspected the recovery work after storm No. 5 in Kim Mam village.
Kim Mam village currently has more than 200 households living, of which 100 households are located in the Cam Thuy 1 hydroelectric reservoir. In recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 5 causing heavy rain, many families in the village were flooded. Of these, 6 households with 21 people are currently living in areas at high risk of landslides.
Through the inspection, comrade Nguyen Tien Hieu highly appreciated the authorities, functional forces of Cam Tu commune, and the Front Working Committee of Kim Mam village for being active and proactive in focusing on overcoming the consequences after storm No. 5.
He requested the locality to quickly evacuate households living in areas at high risk of landslides to ensure the safety of people's lives and property; support and encourage families affected by the storm. At the same time, deploy a plan to overcome flooding and landslides to minimize damage; promptly summarize the damage caused by the storm in the area to report to the province, thereby soon having a remedial plan.
