In particular, the contest is a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany. The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of further strengthening the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership and bilateral defense cooperation in protecting peace, security and development in the region, including Vietnam.

The Vietnamese Liaison Committee in Europe “For Vietnam’s Seas and Islands” was established in July 2022 and has had many meaningful activities such as organizing two scientific seminars on the East Sea and Vietnam’s sovereignty issues in June 2023 in Paris, and May 2024 in Warsaw, Poland.

From 2012 to present, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese has coordinated with the Navy Command to organize 9 working delegations, bringing more than 650 overseas Vietnamese to visit and encourage soldiers and people on Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform.

After their trips, these overseas Vietnamese - the Truong Sa Soldiers - became the core of organizing many events for overseas Vietnamese to spread love as well as the sense of responsibility to protect Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands./.
