Equip communication skills to prevent the harmful effects of tobacco

Attending the conference were nearly 200 delegates who were officials and civil servants working in propaganda of the Department of Culture and Information, the district-level cultural - sports and communication center, and cultural - social officials of communes, wards and towns in Ha Tinh province.

In his opening speech, Mr. Ngo Thanh Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Information ( Ministry of Information and Communications ) emphasized that the effective use and promotion of local media networks to disseminate and promote compliance with the Law on Prevention of Tobacco Harms, especially regulations on smoke-free environments, is the responsibility of those working in grassroots propaganda.

Mr. Ngo Thanh Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Information ( Ministry of Information and Communications) opened the conference.

This conference aims to improve the quality and further promote the role of the grassroots information team; equip and supplement information on tobacco harm prevention and control; on how to select and exploit information, how to build news bulletins according to the most modern trends, especially for staff in charge of district and commune radio stations. From there, widely propagate to the people to protect themselves, take care of their health, prevent and fight diseases in order to build a healthy, civilized, smoke-free society.

Master Tran Thi Thanh Nhan (Ha Tinh Province Center for Disease Control) provides information on preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco.

At the conference, students were informed about the prevention of harmful effects of tobacco and were instructed to create radio news bulletins according to modern trends./.
