In the context of the strong digital revolution, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend in all areas of life, from production, services to trade. However, besides significant advances in the digital environment, the small traders in traditional markets, which are a vulnerable group in the digital ecosystem, are facing many challenges to adapt and develop.
Faced with that situation, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) compiled and officially published the book "Handbook for digital transformation of traditional market traders".
The Digital Transformation Handbook for Traditional Market Traders is designed with simple, accessible content, closely following the practical business operations of small traders, while providing specific instructions in the digital transformation journey. This is expected to be a powerful support tool to help small businesses in traditional markets not be left behind in the development of the digital economy .
This handbook is written in a friendly tone, illustrated specifically through real-life stories of today's traditional market traders. From there, people will see themselves in each example, each specific instruction such as: "How to livestream effectively?", "Why do you have to pack goods carefully?", or "How to use an e-wallet to receive transfers quickly and safely". Everything is guided step by step, with vivid illustrations, like a hands-on practical class.
In particular, the Digital Transformation Handbook for Traditional Market Traders not only guides the use of TikTok Shop, Shopee, Zalo OA, automatic chatbots or QR code scanning, but also expands people's knowledge on how to manage expenses, track profits and losses, and build personal brands in the digital environment. Seemingly unfamiliar content such as "AI applications" or "using free sales software" is now explained in a close, accessible way, and can even be done on the first day, with just a smartphone.
Not just a one-time publication, this handbook will be continuously updated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to suit the changes in technology platforms and consumer behavior. This is an affirmation of the long-term commitment that small traders will not be left behind in the digitalization journey, but on the contrary, will be accompanied and supported on-site. In addition to providing the handbook in PDF format, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will also release podcast and short video versions on social networking platforms at: https://tiktok.com/@tieuthuongvietnam
In addition, the program also contributes to raising digital awareness, removing the psychological barrier of “I don’t know technology”, helping each seller in the small market to reach out to a larger market, keeping pace with modern business forms. With timely and appropriate support, traditional stalls are becoming bright spots on the digital map of Vietnamese commerce.
With its widespread spread and application, the Small Business Digital Transformation Program is expected to enhance the business capacity of millions of individual business households, integrate them into the country's digital ecosystem, contribute to the development of e-commerce and promote a modern, fair and sustainable economy.
The launch of the handbook is an important part of the Digital Transformation Program for traditional market traders, where practical models such as livestream sales, simple management software, cashless payments and promotion on e-commerce platforms are deployed synchronously.
These solutions not only help people save time and money but also contribute to improving service quality, expanding customer base and increasing profits.
