According to Dinh Bac, the team only had a few days to gather but did not encounter many difficulties because most of the players had just competed successfully together at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament.
In addition, the presence of rookie Tran Thanh Trung further added to the excitement. “Thanh Trung integrated very quickly, happily and united with the whole team. Trung is a quality player and I believe he will play well in the upcoming matches,” Dinh Bac commented.
U23 Vietnam has a big advantage when playing at home with U23 Bangladesh, U23 Yemen and U23 Singapore.
Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will open with a match against U23 Bangladesh on September 3, then face U23 Singapore (September 6) and U23 Yemen (September 9).
Evaluating the opponents, the striker of U23 Vietnam affirmed that the whole team is highly focused on each match.
“We have absolute respect for all three opponents. First of all, the whole team will focus on preparing for the opening match against U23 Bangladesh.
The U23 Vietnam team is determined to achieve good results to bring joy to fans, especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the country's National Day on September 2nd," Dinh Bac said.
The young striker born in 2004 emphasized that the players all feel proud and happy to compete in this historic moment for the nation, and are determined to fight their best to win tickets to the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Finals.
