Garnacho is grateful for his five years at MU. |
After a series of rumors in the summer of 2025, Garnacho finally completed his move to Chelsea and signed a contract until 2032. MU received a transfer fee worth 40 million pounds, with a 10% resale clause in the future.
Since the deal was announced, Garnacho has been emotional about joining Chelsea, saying it was a great feeling to wear the shirt of the team he had supported since childhood. Garnacho also spoke for the first time about leaving MU.
Garnacho wrote on his personal page: "Dear Manchester, after 5 wonderful years, a special chapter in my life has come to an end. We created unforgettable moments, and I am grateful for those memories. Thank you to the coaches, staff and teammates for always believing in me. Every time I put on the badge, I always give my all."
"I leave with great pride in what we have achieved and with great excitement for the challenges ahead. I wish Manchester United every success and look forward to continuing to give my all in this new chapter of my career," Garnacho concluded.
Alongside Garnacho, Marcus Rashford also fulfilled his dream of joining Barcelona on a season-long loan with a £30.3m option to buy. Jadon Sancho went on loan to Aston Villa, while Antony joined Real Betis for a fee of £25m, with a 50% buy-back clause in the future.
