Ho Chi Minh City announced the decision to rank 7 historical and cultural relics at the city level.

On the morning of August 27, in the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the decision to rank 7 historical and cultural relics at the city level.

Accordingly, the new list includes 2 architectural and artistic relics (Truong Family Temple and Truong Minh Thanh Tomb; Go Queo Ancient Tomb Park); 5 historical relics including: Tan Phuoc Communal House, Phu An Communal House, Cho Lon Provincial Party Committee Base and Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee at Vuon Thom, Red Areca Garden Memorial Area, Ernst Thälmann High School (Ten Lo Man).

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, presented the decision to rank the city-level historical and cultural relic at the announcement ceremony.

This ranking brings the total number of historical-cultural relics and scenic spots in the city to 321, including 4 special national relics, 99 national relics and 218 city-level relics.

City leaders' representatives presented the decision to rank the city-level historical-cultural relic to Ten Lo Man School ( Ho Chi Minh City).

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the locations ranked this time are all associated with the history of formation and struggle of the land of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh, and have great value in educating traditions and fostering patriotism.

City leaders and delegates took souvenir photos at the city-level historical and cultural relic, Ten Lo Man School (Ho Chi Minh City).

In the coming time, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with districts to develop a project to preserve and promote the value of relics, while promoting propaganda so that the community, especially the young generation, understands and is proud of the city's heritage.

The base of Cho Lon Provincial Party Committee and Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee in Vuon Thom was also recognized as a historical - cultural relic of Ho Chi Minh City on this occasion.

According to the Department of Culture and Sports, the Center for Conservation and Promotion of Monument Values ​​of Ho Chi Minh City is also continuing to research and compile dossiers to rank more communal houses and revolutionary sites to diversify types of heritage, creating a foundation for sustainable urban development and cultural identity of Ho Chi Minh City in the new period.
