Attending the conference were Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Bui Huu Toan; Deputy Chief of Office - Inspectorate of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Huynh Kien Truc, leaders of departments, offices, affiliated public service units and a large number of civil servants, public employees and workers attending directly at the hall and via online bridges.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of the city Bui Huu Toan emphasized that the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and handling suggestions and reflections is a regular and important task of state agencies, contributing to strengthening people's trust, maintaining social stability and promoting local development. In the context of Ho Chi Minh City expanding its scale and scope of management after the arrangement of administrative units, this work requires more professionalism, timeliness and legality.

According to Mr. Bui Huu Toan, training is not only for the citizen reception department but is the responsibility of all civil servants and public employees in the Department, especially the leaders of departments, divisions and units. Because, in the process of performing tasks, each officer directly or indirectly contacts and receives opinions and feedback from people, organizations and businesses; therefore, mastering legal regulations and situation handling skills is extremely necessary.

The conference also disseminated new regulations on citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement; and updated content related to press and publishing management - the field that the Department has just taken over management functions from March 2025. This is a field of work with many arising issues that need to be monitored and handled promptly to ensure a healthy and safe cultural and information environment.
Through the training program, the leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports requested all civil servants, public employees and workers to raise awareness, sense of responsibility, and perform well in receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations. Thereby, contributing to building the image of the City's Department of Culture - Sports as friendly, transparent and dedicated to serving the people.
