Summary of the 2025 fiscal year Plan project and orientation of project activities for the 2026 fiscal year

On June 25-26, the Department of Foreign Affairs coordinated with Plan International in Vietnam to organize the "Conference to summarize the Plan project in fiscal year 2025 and orient project activities in fiscal year 2026".

In recent times, Plan International in Vietnam has closely coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs and related departments, sectors and localities to carry out humanitarian activities in many fields such as: Promoting rights and gender equality for girls, preventing gender-based violence; building life skills and vocational skills for girls; improving capacity for natural disaster prevention... Activities are always directed towards the people and beneficiaries through a scientific and transparent project approach.

In 2025, Plan International in Vietnam implemented programs and projects to realize the right to live in a green and sustainable future for girls, young women and youth in 15 communes of Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts; Building communities, schools and women ready for a sustainable and forward-looking future in Ba Tang, Huong Loc, Lia communes (Huong Hoa district) and Dakrong, Ta Long, Ta Rut communes (Dakrong district); Building Ban 1 - Thuan Primary School, Thuan commune, Huong Hoa district; Strengthening resilience to climate change; Empowering ethnic minority girls... with a total budget of over 28 billion VND.

At the conference, delegates discussed and evaluated the results of the Plan project for fiscal year 2025; shared typical projects and successful models from the project area to apply in the following years; updated the Plan program for fiscal year 2026; and discussed some challenges and solutions for implementation in the coming time when Quang Tri province implements a 2-level government and merges administrative units.

Appreciating the positive and effective contributions of Plan International in recent times, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Thai Huu Lieu suggested that in the new period, the period of official merger and consolidation into the new Quang Tri province, the implementation of programs and projects will continue to be maintained and increasingly developed, contributing significantly to helping Quang Tri province achieve its socio-economic development goals, improve all aspects of people's lives, especially supporting disadvantaged children and youth in project implementation areas.
