(NADS) - On February 5, 2015, the General Secretary visited and had a working session with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province on the results of the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development and Directive No. 36-CT/TW of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 12th National Congress of the Party and visited the Memorial House of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Loc Thuy commune and talked with the people of the General's hometown.

Visiting the Memorial House of the late General Vo Nguyen Giap, I was deeply moved, lighting a stick of incense in memory of Comrade Vo Nguyen Giap - Anh Van, an excellent and close student of President Ho Chi Minh, the General, Minister of National Defense, the first Commander-in-Chief and the Elder Brother of the Heroic Vietnam People's Army; an outstandingly talented military leader who had many great achievements and made especially outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The name, career, personality and great contributions of the late General are deeply imprinted in the hearts of the people. He is the General of the people, forever famous in the history of the nation.
