Tonight, September 1, My Dinh Stadium is lit up with “80 years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”

Tonight, September 1, the national art "grand feast" "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" will take place at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi).

This is an important political and cultural event, marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, while honoring the journey of building and developing the country over the past eight decades.

The program is the most magnificent in scale, lasting 180 minutes with an elaborate script consisting of 3 chapters: The Road to Independence - Reunification; Aspiration for the Fatherland; My Fatherland, Never So Beautiful. Each chapter is a slice of history, taking the audience back in time from the day of independence and national reunification, to the process of innovation, integration, and Vietnam's aspirations to rise in the new era.

With the participation of nearly 3,000 professional and non-professional artists, the program brings together leading artists of many generations such as: People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Trong Tan, My Tam, Tung Duong, Den Vau, Soobin Hoang Son, Mono, Oplus group, Ngu Cung... The combination of music , dance, fine arts, stage technology and special effects promises to create an unprecedented artistic feast.

For the first time, My Dinh Stadium has been transformed into an “open stage” with 3D mapping technology, multi-layered surround sound system, super-sharp LED screen and artistic fireworks. Multimedia projection techniques will vividly recreate historical milestones, cultural symbols and images of the country, helping the audience “relive” the nation’s 80-year journey.

This is the “meeting place” for nearly 20,000 spectators at My Dinh, with the participation of leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, along with a large number of people and overseas Vietnamese. The program is directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, implemented by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, in coordination with major art units across the country.

The event will be broadcast live on VTV1, VOVTV and streamed online on the digital platform of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

“80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” is not only an art night, but also a tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, heroic martyrs, and soldiers nationwide who sacrificed for independence and freedom. At the same time, this is also a strong message affirming the aspiration for innovation, creativity, and building a prosperous and happy Vietnam in the era of global integration.
