North Korea's National Tourism Administration has announced a temporary ban on foreign tourists visiting Wonsan-Kalma, an eastern coastal resort with many high-rise hotels and a water park that can accommodate about 20,000 people and opened earlier this month.
It is unclear why North Korea has temporarily stopped welcoming international visitors to Wonsan-Kalma - known as "North Korea's tourist paradise Waikiki."

Earlier, North Korean media reported that Russian tourist groups are expected to visit Wonsan-Kalma in the coming months, and Russia announced that it would double the frequency of weekly flights between Moscow and Pyongyang.
