On the evening of August 21, at Ba Dinh Square, a general training session for the parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (mission A80) took place.
Attending the general training session were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in 3 years (2023-2025); General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense ; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Party Central Committee member, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), Deputy Minister of National Defense.
After more than 3 months of training and 4 combined exercises at the National Military Training Center 4, this is the first time the Organizing Committee has organized a combined exercise at Ba Dinh Square with the relatively full participation of all forces.
Participating in the general training session were more than 16,300 officers and soldiers from various armed forces, including standing units, command vehicle units - flag group, command vehicle units - police flag group, 43 units going for joint training with 18 standing units, 14 military and special artillery vehicle units of the Army and Police.

Although this was the first time the group practiced at Ba Dinh Square, the parade and marching groups ensured that the horizontal and vertical formations were basically even, beautiful, and unified, demonstrating the strength of the people's armed forces and great national unity.

Implementing the Central Committee's direction on organizing major national celebrations in 2025, the Ministry of National Defense was assigned the responsibility of organizing the parade and march at the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
This is not only a political and social activity of special significance, but also an occasion to affirm the epoch-making stature of the August Revolution of 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
This is also an opportunity for us to demonstrate to the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and international friends our steadfast will, desire for peace, affirm the path to socialism and the strong development of the heroic Vietnamese People's Armed Forces.
