Vietnamese agricultural products reap “sweet fruit” from trade promotion activities Wood industry enterprises seek suitable technology to achieve export target of 20 billion USD

After many years of continuous rapid growth, in the first 6 months of the year, the export value of wood and wood products is estimated at 6 billion USD, down 28.8% over the same period in 2022. Of which, the export value of wood products is estimated at 4.1 billion USD, down 32.8% over the same period in 2022.

Enterprises exporting wood and wood products are facing unprecedented difficulties when they are in a state of shortage of orders, exhausted cash flow, facing trade barriers from the United States and new barriers from the EU market... Therefore, the ability to boost wood and wood product exports in the last months of the year will continue to face many difficulties.

The decline in wood exports is considered a general trend in the market when demand in export markets is decreasing sharply, inflation is causing people in countries to tighten spending...

State management agencies, associations and each wood enterprise itself have identified difficulties and implemented many solutions to limit the decline in wood exports and maintain stable production.

Among the solutions to overcome difficulties in wood export, promoting trade promotion activities, introducing and promoting international wood fairs in Vietnam; providing information and supporting Vietnamese enterprises to participate in international wood fairs are considered important solutions to help wood enterprises overcome the current difficult period.

To clarify this issue, the Industry and Trade Newspaper organized a seminar with the theme: "Trade promotion: Expanding output for wood products".
