Organize an emergency blood donation program for blood type AO

On February 5, at the Department of Hematology, Provincial General Hospital, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union of Agencies and Enterprises to organize an emergency blood donation program for blood type AO.

The blood donation session attracted the participation of many volunteers with blood type AO. At the end of the blood donation session, the Provincial General Hospital received 203 units of blood.

From the beginning of 2024 to this point, through "Red Sunday", "Pink Spring Festival" and this emergency AO blood group donation session, hospitals have received over 2,300 units of blood to promptly supplement the blood reserve, serving the treatment and emergency needs of patients before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin.

The impressive results after organizing the HMTN campaigns right from the beginning of the year will be the motivation for localities and units to be more determined to organize and implement the HMTN programs well, completing and exceeding the assigned targets in 2024.
