Solid foundation

The 2024-2025 school year of the Education sector in the former provinces of Ha Nam , Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh ended with many special marks, maintaining stability and achieving comprehensive results in the set tasks. Universal education (UEP) continues to be maintained at a high level: 100% of communes, wards and towns meet the standards of preschool education for 5-year-old children, primary and secondary education at level 3, and illiteracy eradication at level 2. After the merger, Ninh Binh province is one of the first provinces in the country to achieve the highest level of universal secondary education. A safe, healthy and friendly educational environment continues to be implemented in a disciplined manner at all levels and schools; students are further educated in ethics, life skills, cultural behavior, and participate in many cultural - artistic and sports activities, thereby promoting capacity development and gradually perfecting students' personalities.

The 2018 general education program continues to be effectively implemented, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education. Exams are organized safely and seriously, accurately reflecting the quality of teaching and learning. Key education continues to affirm its position as "Ninh Binh's land of learning" with many outstanding achievements in the national high school excellent student selection exam and in international arenas; cultural competitions and science and technology competitions. The 2025 high school graduation exam recorded outstanding results with a position in the top of the country in terms of average score, high score ratio, especially a number of valedictorians of all grades.

In addition, digital transformation in the whole industry has been promoted; the application of information technology in management, operation and teaching has been enhanced; an industry database has been built connecting with the Ministry of Education and Training; online registration and examinations have been implemented conveniently for students and teachers. The number and quality of staff and teachers have been stable, and their professional capacity has been increasingly improved. School facilities have been invested in, many schools have been upgraded, repaired and newly built; the rate of achieving national standards has increased significantly with 96% of public preschools and general schools achieving national standards at all levels...

Ready for the new school year

At this time, educational institutions across the province are making efforts to prepare for the new school year: focusing on renovating classrooms, completing and supplementing facilities and equipment for teaching and learning; reviewing and strengthening the quality of management staff and teachers...

At Hoa Sen Kindergarten (Phu Ly Ward), the school's staff and teachers are still diligently collecting pictures, using recycled materials to decorate the school and classrooms; practicing performances in preparation for the opening ceremony. Ms. Tran Thi Nhung, Principal of the school, shared: In the 2025-2026 school year, Hoa Sen Kindergarten has 22 classes, including 4 nursery classes and 18 kindergarten classes. To prepare for the new school year, the school's classrooms are all solidified; the teaching staff is assigned, arranged, and organized according to their abilities and aspirations. In order to continue improving the quality of child care, nurturing, and education, the school has proposed adding permanent and contract teachers to ensure the teacher/class ratio according to regulations.

During the summer vacation, Nghia Loi Primary School (Quy Nhat Commune) reviewed its facilities to repair and maintain the following works: paving the floors of classrooms and functional rooms, repairing desks and chairs, and electrical systems in classrooms; renovating the school garden; building a yard, planting more shade trees, ornamental plants, and schoolyard grass, creating a friendly space in harmony with nature...

Along with careful preparation of facilities, based on the school year's tasks, the school has consulted with the People's Committee of the commune to submit to competent authorities to recruit additional teachers, ensuring enough human resources to teach 2 sessions/day. Teachers are trained in applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching to improve the quality of lectures, meeting the requirements of educational innovation. In addition, the school has directed professional groups to review, adjust and supplement teaching content in textbooks and local educational materials in accordance with changes in new administrative units...

It is known that immediately after the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the provincial Department of Education coordinated with local authorities to review all school facilities to assess the quality and capacity of the works, and identify items that need to be repaired and upgraded. Unsafe works were dismantled during the summer; essential items such as sanitation and clean water facilities were prioritized for repair and upgrade. In addition to investment resources from the budget, many educational institutions have mobilized social resources to supplement equipment for the new school year...

To date, the province has 27,263 classrooms, of which 98.73% are solid, while 347 semi-solid classrooms, mainly in rural areas, will continue to be repaired, upgraded, and replaced in the coming time. In addition, the province has 7,538 subject classrooms (Physical Education, Arts, Information Technology, etc.), meeting the teaching and learning requirements according to the 2018 General Education Program.
