Organize 15 regional State Bank branches

The State Bank has just made decisions to reorganize the regional branch system, ensuring synchronous operations, consistent with the administrative management model of the 34 new provinces and cities after the merger.

The State Bank has just issued 14 decisions amending and supplementing the functions, tasks and organizational structure of regional branches. Accordingly, the organization of 15 regional State Banks officially came into operation from July 1, in sync with the new local government system.

According to the new structure, State Bank Region 1 is in charge of Hanoi . State Bank Region 2 includes the new Ho Chi Minh City (Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong), the new Dong Nai province (Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc). Headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.

State Bank Region 3 includes Son La, Dien Bien , Lai Chau provinces. Headquarters in Son La province.

State Bank Region 4 includes: new Phu Tho province (Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc), new Tuyen Quang province (Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang), new Lao Cai province (Lao Cai, Yen Bai). Headquarters in Phu Tho province.

State Bank Region 5 includes the new Thai Nguyen province (Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan), Cao Bang province, Lang Son province. Headquarters in Thai Nguyen province.

State Bank of Region 6 includes Hai Phong New City (Hai Phong, Hai Duong), Quang Ninh Province. Headquarters in Hai Phong City.

State Bank Region 7 includes the new Ninh Binh province (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam), Thanh Hoa province. Headquarters in Thanh Hoa province.

State Bank Region 8 includes the provinces of Ha Tinh, Nghe An, and the new Quang Tri (Quang Tri, Quang Binh). Headquarters in Ha Tinh province.

State Bank Region 9 includes New Da Nang City (Da Nang, Quang Nam), New Quang Ngai (Quang Ngai, Kon Tum), Hue City. Headquarters in Da Nang City.

State Bank Region 10 includes the new Khanh Hoa province (Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan), the new Lam Dong province (Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dak Nong). Headquarters in Khanh Hoa province.

State Bank Region 11 includes new Dak Lak province (Dak Lak, Phu Yen), new Gia Lai province (Gia Lai, Binh Dinh). Headquarters in Dak Lak province.

State Bank Region 12 includes the new Hung Yen province (Hung Yen, Thai Binh), the new Bac Ninh province (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang). Headquarters in Hung Yen province.

State Bank Region 13 includes the new Dong Thap province (Dong Thap, Tien Giang), the new Tay Ninh province (Tay Ninh, Long An). Headquarters in Dong Thap province.

State Bank Region 14 includes the new Can Tho City (Can Tho, Hau Giang, Soc Trang), the new Vinh Long Province (Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh). Headquarters in Can Tho City.

State Bank Region 15 includes the new An Giang province (An Giang, Kien Giang), the new Ca Mau province (Ca Mau, Bac Lieu). Headquarters in An Giang province.

The arrangement is implemented based on the principle of inheriting the old organizational system, not creating new units, minimizing the impact on staff, and ensuring asset safety and monetary security. Each regional State Bank will manage the state on currency, banking and foreign exchange activities in 2-6 provinces/cities.

The arrangement of management areas and headquarters is also calculated to suit geographical conditions and traffic infrastructure, creating convenience in directing, operating and serving people and businesses.
